Love And Loneliness

For my L2 photography folio, we were given the overall theme of ‘juxtaposition’. My project is about the juxtaposition between the unrequited love given by a person and the loneliness they are greeted with in return.
Based on personal experiences, my photos aim to serve as a reflection of the isolation and empty hopes of my childhood, dedicating myself to friends who never reciprocated such feelings. The picnic scene is both a physical and metaphorical representation, as the subject hosts a picnic in which no one arrives.
